Where you fit

Your tier follows the Constitution — it depends on where you live and whether your fee is verified.

Participate fully

Associate

  • Any former student of either school
  • Resident in Sri Lanka, or fee unpaid/lapsed
  • Take part in all activities and events
  • No voting rights
By invitation

Honorary

  • Invited by the committee
  • For exceptional service to the association
  • No voting rights
  • Unless separately qualifying as Financial
How to Join

Five simple steps

  1. 01 Register
    Create your account and tell us your school, year, and country of residence.
  2. 02 Verify your email
    Confirm your email address so we know how to reach you.
  3. 03 Pay the annual fee
    Deposit USD 50 into the association’s designated bank account in Sri Lanka.
  4. 04 Upload your remittance
    Upload the deposit advice from your member area as proof of payment.
  5. 05 Get verified
    The committee verifies your deposit. Once confirmed, your Financial status is active for the year.

Who can join?

Any former student of St. Mary’s College or Kegalu Vidyalaya, Kegalle, anywhere in the world.

What does membership cost?

The annual fee is USD 50 (Art. 5.4), paid by bank deposit to the association’s account in Sri Lanka. There is no online card payment — deposits are verified manually by the committee.

Why can’t Sri Lanka residents be Financial Members?

Under the Constitution as adopted, Financial Membership is limited to members resident outside Sri Lanka (Art. 5.2). Members in Sri Lanka join as Associate Members and take part fully, but do not hold voting rights.

What happens if I don’t renew?

If you do not renew within 60 days of the start of a new Membership Year, your Financial status lapses and you revert to Associate until a new payment is confirmed (Art. 5.6).

When can I vote or stand for office?

Financial Members may vote. To stand for office you must have held Financial status continuously for at least six months before nominations open (Art. 7.4).
